International Consumer Products company based on the border of Bucks and Montgomery Country in PA is looking to add an experienced and proactive Director of Supply Chain & Import Operations to our team.

The ideal candidate will have Recent Import business experience and proven track record in inventory reduction, cost management, and importing processes. The role will focus on optimizing our supply chain, ensuring inventory levels are maintained at a 3-month supply, while preventing backorders and minimizing costs. The candidate will help guide the company through important changes in our inventory processes and supply chain strategy. No travel involved and the company is onsite 5 days with hours of 8am-5pm

The position is paying up to $250K+ Bonus and the company is willing to pay relocation as well for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Work to reduce inventory levels as low as possible without causing backorders. Ensure efficient stock levels to maintain a 3-month supply of products.
  • Cost Reduction: Implement strategies to lower the cost of imported goods through optimizing shipping, warehouse costs, and exploring alternative sourcing options from different factories.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee the flow of goods from suppliers to warehouses to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective operations.
  • Warehouse Coordination: Manage coordination and processes across our four warehouses and work with team members to streamline operations.
  • Import Business Expertise: Leverage knowledge of the import business to ensure all imported goods are managed efficiently, minimizing delays and reducing excess inventory.
  • Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Maintain positive working relationships with 80 vendors to ensure consistency, reliability, and quality of products.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements in inventory processes and supply chain management to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications:

  • Education: College degree required.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in consumer product companies, particularly in inventory management and imports.
  • Experience in reducing inventory levels while maintaining product availability.
  • Strong understanding of the import business and related supply chain processes.
  • Previous work experience with warehouses in NY, NJ, and CA, particularly in smaller, high-cost locations.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain software.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and lead teams through transformations.
