Job Overview:

The Marketing Associate will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Brand Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer. This position will be responsible for high-priority marketing channels and the coordination of seasonal and promotional marketing assets to be deployed across all platforms. The Marketing Associate will own all aspects of the email marketing channel including strategy development, campaign planning, copywriting, testing, scheduling and reporting. All email strategy and execution will support company objectives and drive top-line sales, customer acquisition, retention and reactivation. The candidate must have strong writing skills and interpersonal skills, along with a creative eye. He/She is someone who is exceptionally organized and solution-oriented, has a positive can-do attitude, shows initiative and is a team player. A successful candidate will also have a passion for email marketing, social media, fashion and retail.

This position requires close collaboration and frequent communication with cross-functional teams including Ecommerce, Buying, Tech and Operations, offering a unique opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the ecommerce business.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a self-starter mentality. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will be required. Candidates should be interested in the fashion/retail industries and be familiar with current trends and ecommerce best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Own email marketing calendar and work in a fast-paced environment to develop email strategies and content that increase customer acquisition, engagement, retention and file growth.
  • Work closely with the Graphic Designer and Ecommerce team to create relevant and compelling emails and promotional marketing assets (including website content, paid social assets and paid search assets).
  • Coordinate with the Buying Team to ensure emails are reflective of key investments and business strategies.
  • Be a power user of our email service platform (Retention Science) and collaborate with Retention Science account manager to optimize automated emails and segmented email marketing campaigns.
  • Track and analyze email campaign performance on a monthly basis.
  • Think critically and make optimization decisions based on data analytics.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 2+ years of relevant marketing experience.
  • This role requires creative thinking, creative writing, analytical rigor, excellent written and oral communication skills and detail orientation.
  • Candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in growing a business.
  • Must be a team player and must be comfortable working in a less structured, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce best practices and customer behavior.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
  • Strong presenter with strong communication skills and ability to confidently discuss results with all levels of the organization.
  • A refined taste level with a strong knowledge and passion for fashion history and trends.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Working/basic knowledge of photoshop/illustrator preferred.
