  • 4+ years’ experience with Legal Defense Billing guidelines, including ABA task codes and LEDES format.
  • 4+ years’ experience utilizing an Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) software such as PCLaw, Tab3, CounselLink, and Legal Exchange for electronic invoice submission.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with end to end legal billing/account.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and legal billing software/portals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and firm policies.
  • Prepare, analyze, and oversee accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including weekly processing, client account oversight, and collections.
  • Supervise payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees using Paychex.
  • Assist with insurance renewals and employee benefits administration.
  • Conduct financial audits, reconciliations, and budgeting to optimize firm profitability.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership on financial strategy and forecasting.
