UX Designer / Architect with K-16 experience

Travel may be required to sites for stakeholder engagement, project meetings, or on-site assessments, depending on project needs with state of NY. The client will not make reimbursement for travel or travel-related expenses. All rates need to be all inclusive.
Need a UX Designer to create user experiences for education administrative systems. The role involves designing user-centric solutions, understanding administrative staff needs, and working with the PMO to identify improvements. The UX Designer will collaborate with various departments, campuses, and external vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
Responsibilities
The client is seeking a talented and creative UX Designer to focus on developing intuitive and engaging user experiences for education administrative systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-centric designs and a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by administrative staff in educational institutions. This position will also engage with the Project Management Office (PMO), identifying critical areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to project management tools and processes. Additionally, this role will facilitate collaboration between departments, The client Campuses, and external vendors to ensure all project requirements are identified, procured, and available to meet the project schedule.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and educational administrators to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Execute all stages of the design process from concept to final hand-off to engineering, including wireframing, prototyping, and user interface design.
- Conduct user research and testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Develop and maintain personas, user journey maps, and other user-centered design artifacts.
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Ensure designs are consistent with our brand guidelines and standards.
- Current with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Advocate for the end-user throughout the development process and ensure that user experience is prioritized.
- Design solutions that streamline administrative processes and enhance efficiency
Skills Needed
7 years of experience in managing higher education, government, and corporate projects with a broad breadth of experience in application development is preferred.
Experience providing strategic advice and guidance to senior management on business/functional-related matters.
Experience in evaluating and improving existing business processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience in utilizing data analytics to drive business insights and identify opportunities for digital enhancement.
