RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's Phoenix-based client is looking to add a Full Stack Java Developer to their team. This is a 100% remote role (MST/Arizona work hours). Initial phase is a 6+ month contract with possibility of conversion to FTE.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software. This includes specialized utility programs, mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancements to existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enhance and optimize various sophisticated software implementation projects
* Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs
* Review and analyze enhancement requests and specifications
* Implement system software and customize it to meet client requirements
* Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans
* Code new programs according to client specifications and create test data for testing
* Modify existing programs to meet new standards and conduct unit testing
* Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation
* Conduct quality assurance reviews
* Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs identified during testing
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
* 5-7+ years of relevant experience
* Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
* Extensive experience as a Full-Stack Java Developer
* Extensive experience in large systems software design and development
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems
* Proficiency in Docker
* Strong programming skills and experience in problem diagnosis and resolution
Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience with AWS
* Familiarity with Flowable
* Knowledge of Linux
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
