Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Automation Engineer to drive quality by developing automated solutions that execute functional, non-functional, integration, and regression testing across end-to-end application journeys. This position will own quality functional areas and define test and environment strategies while working collaboratively with a talented team of developers and test engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating test efforts, building robust tests to minimize defect leakage, and ensuring comprehensive testing coverage through regression, performance, deployment verification, and release testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Automation & Strategy:
- Develop and implement automated solutions for functional, non-functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Define test strategies and environment setups to ensure optimal test coverage and quality.
- Elaborate and estimate test efforts to build robust tests that minimize defect leakage.
- Collaboration & Team Development:
- Work closely with developers and test engineers to deliver high-performance, high-volume applications.
- Participate in peer reviews and collaborative efforts that foster team development and a positive work culture.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Continuous Improvement & Documentation:
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and refine testing methodologies.
- Document test cases, environment configurations, and processes using standardized templates.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Proven experience in automation testing for web and mobile applications.
- Expertise in UI development using React and a solid understanding of backend services.
- Experience in database integration and migration projects.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring, with strong experience in unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
- Familiarity with integrated development environments such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE.
- Experience with REST Assured and behavioral testing frameworks like Jbehave or Cucumber.
- Knowledge of API testing (REST/SOAP) and database testing best practices.
- Proven ability to implement Continuous Delivery practices using tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Familiarity with vulnerability tools such as Sonar and Checkmarx.
- Excellent technical acumen, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to learning new software.
- Ability to work independently under pressure as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
