Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Scope Definition: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for each team member to ensure performance and project success.
  • Goal & Objective Setting: Establish clear goals and objectives for every project phase, covering engineering, production, installation, execution, and financial aspects.
  • Contract Review & Risk Management: Analyze contract terms, guarantees, and risk assessments before finalizing agreements. Work closely with the sales team to review purchase orders and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Budget & Job Costing Analysis: Assess project phases to define budgets and create KPIs for job costing and financial tracking. Monitor ongoing costs to ensure the project remains within budget, sharing updates with the team as necessary.
  • Timeline Estimation & Adherence: Estimate project timelines accurately and ensure that all teams meet key deadlines.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of human and capital resources to ensure the project is delivered on time.
  • Staffing & Scheduling: Ensure sufficient staffing at every stage of the project to meet timelines and maintain efficiency.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks that may delay or derail the project and provide effective solutions. Collaborate with the customer and sales teams to address and resolve issues.
  • Deviation Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports detailing any deviations from the project plan, including delays, budget issues, contract changes, or lead time adjustments.
  • Reporting: Regularly present internal and external project reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Trench Work & Inventory Management: Assist with job creation, participate in print reviews, provide engineering support, optimize inventory and shipping for Just-In-Time (JIT) goals, and collaborate with purchasing and accounting to ensure correct project costing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of working with high-level management and stakeholders.
