Eclaro's client in New York City is searching for a dynamic Onboarding & Training Specialist to design, implement, and oversee the onboarding process for new hires while developing training programs that enhance employee skills and productivity.

**This is a 6-month onsite contract to hire opportunity. Unable to subcontract or work with 3rd parties**

The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless onboarding experience and provide engaging training sessions that align with company goals and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding:

  • Manage the end-to-end new hire onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Develop and facilitate orientation sessions to introduce employees to company policies, culture, and expectations.
  • Coordinate with HR, IT, and department managers to ensure new hires have the necessary tools, resources, and access to systems.
  • Create and distribute onboarding materials, guides, and checklists.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.
  • Collect feedback from new hires to improve the onboarding experience.

Training & Development:

  • Design and deliver training programs for employees at all levels, covering topics such as company policies, job-specific skills, compliance, and professional development.
  • Develop engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, presentations, and manuals.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and create tailored programs.
  • Conduct workshops, webinars, and in-person training sessions to enhance employee knowledge and performance.
  • Track and evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in onboarding, training, HR, or a related field.
  • Active Directory and Entra (Azure AD) experience.
  • Strong knowledge of onboarding best practices and adult learning principles.
  • Experience with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and e-learning development tools is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a corporate training or HR role.
  • Familiarity with remote and hybrid onboarding strategies.
  • Certification in training (e.g., CPLP, PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience with a performing arts or not-for-profit organization.
