SUMMARY

The Product Manager will play a critical role in multi-generational product planning and design while handling the full product life-cycle of the assigned group of products. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure new product development success and help drive product sell-through. They will gather, analyze, and disseminate information on consumers, sales channels, competitive product offerings and technologies. A thorough knowledge of Stage Gate utilization will enable the successful candidate to develop and launch products that align with the company’s strategic goals as well as effectively communicate the information cross-functionally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead new product development by collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales and Finance to bring products from concept to market launch

· Analyze sales data and market research, turning consumer insights and trends into new product ideas

· Assist in driving all marketing activities for new product launches including product positioning, pricing, packaging, and placement (channel)

· Work closely with the Marketing and Brand Communications group in establishing and maintaining a clear brand and product go-to-market strategy

· Develop and execute marketing strategies including brand positioning, communication, advertising and consumer promotion initiatives

· Collaborate with the Sales organization to create sell sheets, customer presentations and supporting marketing materials

· Create sales training programs that allow for easy assimilation of product knowledge while enhancing sales skills and increasing knowledge of competitive product positioning

· Continuously gather intelligence on product performance, competitors, distributors, and end user attitudes to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT)

· Champion the Stage Gate process and attend weekly product launch meetings with cross-functional teams to drive accurate and timely product launches

· Maintain the accuracy of product specification documents for all existing products through product audits, revision updates, and communication with operations, sourcing and sales teams

· Work closely with internal product and catalog groups to ensure product and application data integrity

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business or related field

· 3-5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of degree and experience

· Strong leadership and presentation skills

· Ability to effectively develop solutions to product and product line changes

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
