Position: Process Engineer

Location: Springfield, OH

Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift

About the Role:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining the injection molding operations, ensuring consistency in production while identifying areas for process improvement. Working closely with production teams, quality assurance, and engineering leadership, this role is integral to achieving operational excellence by driving efficiency, reducing waste, and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and refine molding processes to ensure efficiency, product quality, and minimal material waste
  • Monitor production performance, identify potential process adjustments, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Document best practices and update molding process guidelines for standardization
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to assess and improve machine performance
  • Lead or assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall production output
  • Conduct technical evaluations for new tooling, automation enhancements, or material selection
  • Support trial runs and production samples, ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Analyze operational data and provide recommendations to improve key performance indicators

Required Qualifications:.

  • Background in engineering or manufacturing, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in injection molding
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience applying continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with process monitoring tools, production analytics, and technical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive operational improvements
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
