QA Engineer
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Mid-Level QA Engineer to join their growing team. This role is integral to ensuring software quality, verifying feature implementations, and maintaining product stability throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and product teams.
QA Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop and execute structured test plans and test cases based on requirements documents or user stories.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing for functional, regression, smoke, and API test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain test coverage across web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality releases.
- Utilize tools such as TestRail, Jira, and Postman to manage test cases, report issues, and conduct API testing.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and contribute to improving test strategies and efficiency.
- Leverage developer tools and logs to debug and diagnose issues effectively.
- Validate data accuracy using SQL queries and ensure API functionality meets expected outcomes.
- Participate in Agile development processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation, ensuring transparency across teams.
QA Engineer Qualifications
- 3-4 years of QA testing experience, with a preference for candidates with more than four years who have quickly demonstrated competency in previous roles.
- Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, including black-box and grey-box testing.
- Proficiency in testing web and mobile applications across multiple platforms, operating systems, and browsers.
- Hands-on experience with TestRail (or similar test case management tools) and Jira (or similar project management platforms).
- Familiarity with Git for version control and command-line tools for debugging.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation and REST APIs for functional testing.
- Proficiency with Postman or Swagger for API testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and articulate test findings clearly.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced Agile environment, managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying quality improvements.
- Preferred Skills (Bonus, but not Required):
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or security testing tools like OWASP ZAP.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing workflows.
- Knowledge of software release management and test environment configuration.
- Background or interest in the electric vehicle (EV) industry.
