  • You will provide routine supply management duties involving all aspects of stock management of various Classes of Supply to include Repair Parts,l Petroleum, Equipage and Consumables, and Medical material in support of the LCS.
  • You will ensure supply operations are sustained to support material requirements onboard Littoral Combat Ships (LCS).

  • You will receive material requests from customer and coordinate best method of acquisition ensuring FIAR compliance throughout. Coordinates financial reconciliation.
  • You will complete financial reports such as the Budget OPTAR Report (BOR) and Transaction Item Reporting (TIR).
  • You will coordinate and interact with customers to ensure execution of purchase requirements.
  • You will assist the Logistics Support Team Officer, Supply Officer, and delegated agents by performing duties related to the overall logistics requirement.
  • You will prepare, coordinate, and conduct shipping of material to include carcass tum-ins, reporting, and processing.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-2001-09, your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public using knowledge of specialized supply work including line, staff, and/or analytical work in one of the fields of distribution facilities and storage management, inventory management, packaging, cataloging, or related activities such as supply program management, procurement, and data processing in support of supply operations to perform the following:
1) Applying knowledge in a major area of supply operations, specifically repairable, consumable, financial, hazmat, fuel and other supply classes to order and manage logistics needs for ships.
2) Assisting in addressing unique and complex logistics problems inherent to the minimally manned crews and world-wide deployments.
3) Assisting in performing research, summarizing information, and providing reports to summarize logistics metrics and to provide leadership with the information needed to improve logistics support, or take corrective action.
4) Assisting team members of varied in solving difficult and complex problems.
5) Assisting in analyzing customer requirements, making recommendations, and translating requirements into information system solutions.
6) Assisting in analyzing descriptions that have unique aspects and many critical characteristics, to identify problem areas in specifications, or decide if substitutions are acceptable or should be referred to others for further review.

You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in Logistics Support Team (LST) Branch of the Fleet Operations Department, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL. The LST branch is the logistics arm of the afloat Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) ashore providing support 24/7 and is the single point of entry for ships to receive logistics support, assistance and information. In addition, provides parts, subsistence, financial and consumable supply support through Distance Support (DS) to the Navy's Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). The purpose of the position is the management of multiple Classes of Supply and the collaboration with other LST Members, LCS and LCS Squadron Two Logistics and Maintenance personnel in planning, scheduling and implementing comprehensive support for LCS deployed and home port.

This position is eligible for situational or ad hoc telework, at the discretion of management.
