Job Title: Logistics Supply Chain Specialist
Pay Rate: $30 to $32/HR
Duration: 6 months
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid but if business conditions require it may become 100% on-site)
Shift: 8 am - 4.30 pm
This position is for the Railcar division.
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation routes, and minimize transportation costs.
- Monitor and analyze transportation utilization to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize capacity.
- Collaborate with transportation providers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations.
- Utilize logistics IT systems to track and analyze transportation data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on transportation performance, cost savings, and optimization initiatives.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency and overall supply chain performance.
Requirments:
- BS degree, preferably in Supply Chain or a related field
- MS Excel
- Experience in coordinating among the suppliers and the internal teams
- Experience in transportation/logistics activities
- SAP or similar ERP system
