An Italian lighting design company known for its innovative and high-quality lighting solutions is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This role will be responsible for financial management, accounting, treasury, budgeting, and HR administration, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Management
- Supervise Accounting, Controlling, and Treasury functions, including support for Canadian subsidiaries.
- Manage accounting closures and monthly journal entries.
- Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual business and statutory reports for HQ.
- Handle sales reports and commission calculations.
- Control and validate inventory and accounts receivable.
- Manage the Annual Report in collaboration with the External Accounting Firm and support the year-end audit process.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, outstanding accounts, debits, and financing.
- Oversee relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Approve check signing and bank payments.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Develop and oversee the annual budget and business plan.
- Conduct financial analysis to support company management in decision-making.
Tax & Compliance Management
- Support the administrative management of income taxes (Federal, State, and City) and sales tax, collaborating with external accounting firms.
- Ensure compliance with 401(k) plan administration.
- Maintain corporate records in collaboration with legal advisors.
- Manage administrative aspects of insurance and litigation.
HR & Administrative Management
- Oversee HR processes and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, Excel, and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in Italian is mandatory.
