What You’ll Do
Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance & Reliability and Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager at each of our facilities are uniquely positioned to oversee the day-to-day and strategic aspects of Divert’s technical programs.
Divert’s Mechanicsburg facility receives unsold food from clients, analyzes the content, separates the packaging from the organics that can then be digested and processed. Many of Divert’s facilities ultimately process the mixed liquor through an anaerobic digestion tank with the end result is renewable natural gas (RNG) tied into a local NG pipeline.
This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.

What You’ll Do
Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance & Reliability and Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager at each of our facilities are uniquely positioned to oversee the day-to-day and strategic aspects of Divert’s technical programs.
Divert’s Mechanicsburg facility receives unsold food from clients, analyzes the content, separates the packaging from the organics that can then be digested and processed. Many of Divert’s facilities ultimately process the mixed liquor through an anaerobic digestion tank with the end result is renewable natural gas (RNG) tied into a local NG pipeline.
This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.
Responsibilities
Culture & Safety:
- Maintain the Divert culture in the plant by executing processes that support empowerment and structured independence
- Assure a safe work environment through culture, training, and reinforcement of demonstrated best practices
- Assure established operating discipline is being maintained consistently
- Manage and execute plant technical training program including:
- Develop a comprehensive maintenance on-boarding program for Techs. Includes all aspects of safety, effective CMMS usage, proactive maintenance, predictive maintenance, PM completion and troubleshooting
- Develop, coach and mentor technicians to progress based on technical skill growth
- Develop procedures and plans to lead major maintenance jobs, e.g. centrifuge replacement, tank inspections, membrane service, etc.
- Manage maintenance and reliability processes, including:
- Manage PM program and spare/wear parts storage needs based on existing wear, reliability, criticality, and manufacturers recommended maintenance.
- Determine root cause of equipment failures and drive solutions to eliminate recurrence of failures
- Research parts and services suppliers. Investigate lead times and costs. Assure spare parts on hand are appropriate and located for easy identification.
- Generate and share weekly and monthly asset utilization reports.
- Analyze reports and data collected to drive meaningful change.
- Drive daily maintenance work planning, facilitate work order generation, scheduling and completion aligned with current plant needs.
- Manage CMMS to track required maintenance
- In partnership with the Plant Manager, develop and track plant KPI’s for daily direction setting and shift handoffs
- Develop standard operating procedures for daily plant operations including:
- BOL management
- Composting and rerouting processes
- Develop and hold plant techs to specific operating standards outlined for the various plant tasks and KPI’s
- Manage contractor work for plant repairs, maintenance and improvements
- Write PO’s and hold vendors to standards created in the SOW for 3rd party and contractor work.
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in mechanical, maintenance, or other related industrial fields from an accredited program
- 5 to 8 years experience in industrial and/or production maintenance, including leadership and management
- Experience leading technical and complex operational systems
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, organizational/planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
- CMMS experience required
- CMRP certification preferred or understanding/experience of these practices and procedures
- Experience with high pressure (300-900 psi) gas transmission lines and high pressure pumps/compressors preferred
- Compensation range: $105-125K/ Year + 10% target bonus
