Azure Cloud Architect
We are seeking an experienced Azure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. As an Azure SME, you will be responsible for optimizing server configuration and managing complex applications within Microsoft Azure Cloud environments. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing and maintaining efficient cloud-based solutions, including backup and recovery strategies using Azure services. Additionally, you will ensure comprehensive documentation and provide support for application development and scripting tasks, adhering to rigorous security standards. Responsibilities:
- Streamline the setup and configuration of new servers using Azure Cloud services like Azure Virtual Machines, Kubernetes Service, App Service, Functions, Batch, and Key Vault to enhance operational agility and responsiveness.
- Install, configure, and oversee complex server-based applications, including Azure DevOps Server, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within Azure environments.
- Keep detailed and up-to-date records, including network diagrams, data flows, server specifics (name, location, function), and connectivity details for all systems hosted in Azure Cloud and on-premises servers until decommissioned.
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade backup and recovery solutions utilizing Azure services such as Azure Backup, Site Recovery (ASR), Storage Redundancy options, VM Backup, Blob Storage Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Document all servers (physical and virtual), ensuring comprehensive records for Azure-hosted items and other relevant information.
- Support traditional application development and scripting tasks, including PowerShell and Azure infrastructure as code (IaC) development. Ensure all development activities adhere to security standards and include appropriate documentation.
Required
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on Azure cloud services and solutions.
- AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
- AI-900: Azure AI Fundamentals Certification
- Ability to obtain Certified Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Practitioner within 60 days of start
- Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Batch, and Azure Key Vault.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex Azure architecture and deployment issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to create comprehensive documentation for Azure deployments, configurations, and solutions.
- Understanding of Azure security best practices and experience in implementing them effectively.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest Azure technologies and certifications.
