We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Manager with a strong desire to advance to a Director role. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in managed services leadership, infrastructure development, cybersecurity, and advanced Microsoft technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead IT teams to design and implement technology strategies that align with business goals, with a focus on growth, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Managed Services & Vendor Management: Oversee IT services and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely support and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Establish contracts and maintain communication with key suppliers for hardware, software, and network support.
- Infrastructure & Security: Drive the development and enhancement of IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and effective networking, server, storage, and data management systems. Oversee security protocols to protect organizational assets.
- Microsoft Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Office 365, Active Directory, MS Server) to optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage enterprise systems.
- Process Management & Execution: Design and implement regular maintenance schedules for IT infrastructure. Lead initiatives to evaluate, onboard, and integrate new software solutions to improve organizational efficiency.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with teams to define and complete IT projects. Communicate technology solutions and concepts effectively to all stakeholders.
- Disaster Recovery & Strategic Planning: Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans. Support capacity planning for hardware, software, and network infrastructure to ensure business continuity and scalability.
Technical Requirements & Competencies:
- Business Acumen & Leadership: Mastery of competencies at the Director level, including Business Acumen, Perspective, Decision Quality, Organizational Agility, and Process Management/Execution.
- IT Infrastructure & Security Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, including network systems (Meraki), servers, storage, and cloud platforms.
- Strong expertise in security protocols and best practices.
- Microsoft Technologies:
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Active Directory, MS Server.
- Expertise in SQL Server and integration with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.
- Reporting & Data Management:
- Proficiency in SQL queries, Crystal Reports, and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
- Software & Applications:
- Experience with IT systems used in nonprofit or foundation environments, particularly Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.
- Experience with software evaluation, onboarding, and integration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management & Process Optimization:
- Proven experience in project management and process improvement.
- Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement processes that improve operational efficiency.
- Training & Development:
- Ability to identify technical training needs within the organization and coordinate with HR or vendors to deliver solutions.
- Experience in providing training to staff on technology-related topics, including report creation and data queries.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technology management, with a strong background in managed services, infrastructure development, and security.
- Experience working in mid to large-size companies, with nonprofit or foundation experience a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, CompTIA Security+, Cisco) are a plus.

- Establish agreements and contracts with key vendors and suppliers, ensuring agreed-upon communication protocols and service level expectations.
- Manage ongoing relationships with vendors to ensure hardware, software, and network support meets operational needs.
Project & Process Management:
- Collaborate with all departments to define IT solutions that improve efficiency and meet organizational needs.
- Regularly evaluate and enhance processes for IT infrastructure maintenance, software integration, and system updates.
- Foster innovation by exploring new technologies, processes, and methodologies to improve business operations.
Training & Policies & Procedures:
- Identify and address technical training needs within the organization.
- Recommend and maintain IT policies and procedures based on performance evaluations and organizational needs.
- Support external audits, including financial, security assessments, and organizational accreditation.
