Our client is a business management firm. They seek a Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Daily client activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters
  • Review Associate’s work, including AP, AR, cash receipt, journal entries, general ledger, etc.
  • Assess bank balances and statements and approve transfers as needed
  • Monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score issues
  • Oversee insurance renewals and claims, and assist with home and car purchases
  • Work closely with the tax team regarding client taxes
  • Carry out other projects as needed

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in the client services field
  • Knowledge of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, etc.
  • Familiar with touring and tour reconciliation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
  • Commitment to professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, BillQuick, and Xero
