About This Role

The inventory control specialist has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels . Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Operational Performance and Standardization, the Inventory Specialist will perform the duties of counting and verifying product in the warehouse and validating processes are in place per SOPs.

A day in the life: What you do

  • Manage the Cycle Count Program on a Daily basis to ensure Inventory accuracy and correct Inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner .
  • Identifies and recommends corrective actions to improve inventory cycle process accuracy.
  • Coa ches associates on proper inventory procedures and transactions , focusing on both how and why to perform these duties .
  • Support and/or provide group training on new processes and new associates .
  • Research, communicate and resolve inventory variances .
  • Monitors and reports inventory levels as required .
  • Audits the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis and provides reports to management.
  • Develop, write, and train SOP materials surrounding Odoo and other operational procedures
  • Perform audits of SOP's (Inventory Workflows) as required by supervisor.
  • Audit incoming and outgoing trucks randomly.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic; wear the proper safety equipment and adhere to all safety procedures and programs.
  • Provide assistance to the Operations Manager during any physical inventory period.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping of the Warehouse and that all materials are marked with identifying information with the methods indicated by the company.
  • Works with other teams including sales, shipping and purchasing .
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with internal customers and suppliers through open and interactive communication.
  • Support sites by researching errors and discrepancies in Odoo beyond home facility
  • Assisting in training team members at other facilities
  • Assisting with acquisitions and integrations (Both initial audits and integration into Odoo/current processes in addition to overall training in our system)
  • Act as an extension of the COE (Center of Excellence) by supporting all initiatives as needed
  • Influencing changes and updates in our current system (Odoo)
  • Making an impact on how our company operates in general
  • Other tasks as required

Qualifications: What you know

  • Experience with ERP systems specially the Inventory Modules.
  • Experience with inventory flows in a Manufacturing environment.
