Roles And Responsibilities

Baltic Street Wellness Solutions seeks an experienced Director of Finance to perform effective risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy. It is a very important and complex role since an organization can only survive if it actively investigates and safeguards its finances.

The Director of Finance must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad non-profit operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command.

The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.

Director of Finance shall provide on an "as needed" ba sis the fo ll owing:

Financial Department

  • Completion of the organization’s Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR)
  • Conduct field audits
  • Attend Board Meetings and report any fiscal overview
  • Closing Fiscal Year
  • Oversee City and State Contracts
  • Issuing 1099 Tax forms
  • Manage and report to the CEO any bank possible fraud activities
  • Manage the Foundation Account
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Reporting

  • Submit monthly bank statements (Full statements)
  • Submit monthly fiscal report for organization (program/housing)
  • Fiscal reporting for the audit finance committee which includes a clear detailed description of the fiscal department, financial audit updates, and present all fiscal reporting on a presentation.
  • Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
  • Serve as internal Director to the CEO, Board of Directors, Audit Finance Committee, and Human Resources and other key stakeholders on all financial matters, making recommendations and suggesting pro-active strategies to keep Baltic Street Wellness Solutions Inc. on track.
  • Provide oversight for and manage all budgets, forecasts and internal financial plans and processes.
  • Support accounting, general ledger and operations functions, ensuring that systems are in place to guarantee timeliness and accuracy.
  • Drive the best financial practices within Baltic Street Wellness Solutions Inc. by publicizing standard operating procedures, keeping the senior leadership team, Board and staff up to date on Baltic Street Wellness Solutions Inc., financial status and by generally serving as a point of reference for all growth plans and projects within Baltic Street Wellness Solutions Inc.
  • Review short and long-term goals in light of existing and projected financial resources available.
  • Create data-based long- and short-term goals, budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in all internal planning regarding Baltic Street Wellness Solutions Inc., proposed program expansion, to ensure alignment of program, outreach and training plans with financial projections.
  • Establish annual priorities and benchmarks and conduct regular reporting, measuring projections against actual performance.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed to monitor, evaluate and optimize cash-flow and liquidity.
  • Build relationships with banks, donors, vendors, outside consultants and others as needed to keep close to Baltic Street Wellness Solutions Inc., major expenditures and sources of revenue with the review and support of the CEO.
  • Utilize technology to optimize all reporting and analytical functions.
  • Keep up with new trends in the financial industry by attending conferences, participating in professional development and sharing this information with the senior leadership team

Requirements And Skills

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
  • Proven experience as CFO, finance officer, or relevant role
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (QuickBooks Online, ADP Workforce Now)
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • Candidate must be available for a hybrid schedule

We Are a State Mandated Organization, COVID-19 Vaccinations are Required. Selected candidates must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and have received a booster shot.
