We are looking for Engineers with experience in electrical, system or firmware development/validation to join our Dojo Hardware Validation team. Your job is to collaborate with teams across the Dojo program to ensure that the hardware meets our high performance and reliability standards. As a Systems Test Engineer, you will be among the first users of newly developed Dojo products, and you will serve as the key knowledge holder of Dojo validation. You will identify product failures and drive corrective actions, all to ensure the long-term success of the Dojo platform.

Responsibilities
- Own and develop detailed life cycle validation plans for electronic and computer systems to be used in Tesla's Dojo product line
- Work together with Design Engineers, Reliability Scientists, Material Scientists, Quality, and Service to identify failure modes and generate design validation and reliability test plans to isolate these effects
- Perform component-level, system-level validation and reliability tests, simulating both realistic and accelerated dynamic conditions
- Investigate computer system/electronics assembly and subassembly failures to drive product development and test improvement
- Identify and execute experiments targeting new technologies or critical failures impacting novel use cases
- Interface and simulate complex bucks and bring up systems to validate firmware, hardware and resulting interactions
Requirements
- Degree in Computer/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Analog, Digital signal measurement, power electronics, DCDC/DCAC systems, sensors or microcontroller is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in electrical design and analysis using tools like Altium, Cadence, Ansys AEDT or equivalent software. Additional experience with mechanical CAD is a bonus
- Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals, and experience with standard lab equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, o-scopes, DMMs etc.)
- Experience with Linux systems and scripting experience with object-oriented programming tools like Python, bash etc. for test automation and data processing
- Experience creating and executing detailed validation plans for component or system level, starting from unit tests to regression and reliability is a strong plus
- Comfort with managing competing priorities, complex timelines and resource limitations
- Eagerness to be hands-on and getting into the nitty gritty of complex engineering problems, while driving for time and effort efficiency

$80,000 - $156,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
