Overview
LMI is seeking a Software Developer to support our customers' configuration and development objectives. This is a hybrid position reporting to USPS Merrifield, VA facility. A successful software developer will demonstrate competency in Microsoft C#.Net and understand the full software development life cycle (SDLC) while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

- Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications.
- Familiar with SDLC, designs, plans, and coordinates work teams.
- Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
- To be able to write instruction for deploying developed software to different environments.
- To be able to debug or troubleshoot application issue independently.
- A wide degree of creativity and attitude is expected for fast-paced R&D environments.
- Typically reports to the team lead of the development group.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated competency with Microsoft C# programming language with .Net platform.
- Skillful with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE with source control software TFS (Team Foundation Server)
- Adept with C# web application design.
- Proven ability to deliver products and experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle.
- Strong familiarity with C#.Net Oracle database interface design, and SQL commands.
- This position requires five (5) or more years' work experience.
- Ability obtain and maintain a USPS Public trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experienced with Microsoft Entity Framework.
- Working knowledge of web services/web API design.
- Knowledge and skill in application of section 508 compliance in UI design
- Microsoft Windows system, e.g., Win10/11, Windows Servers experience.
- Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
- Experience with UI interface design technologies is a plus, e.g., speech recognition, text to speech, and so on.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in area of specialty
- Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
Work Location:
- Position requires 2 day per week minimum at USPS Merrifield, VA location.
