This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Development: Assist in developing and refining the Cobot vision, translating abstract ideas into tangible sketches, storyboards, and 3D models.
- Design Visualization: Support the creation of high-quality visual assets, such as renderings, presentations, and mood boards to communicate product aesthetics and user experiences.
- Prototyping & Iteration: Contribute to early-stage prototyping, helping to iterate on designs through 3D printing, mockups, and basic fabrication processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with ID, engineering, and event teams to ensure design intent is maintained across different disciplines.
- Production Support: Assist with design refinements, minor CAD adjustments, and preparation of manufacturing-ready assets as needed.
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree with focus on Industrial Design or related field.
- Portfolio that reflects a wide range of products or objects, translating complexity into simple and delightful solutions.
- Design fundamental skills: research, sketching, CAD and visualization skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering, UX and 3DVD.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment.
- Must have and maintain US work authorization.
- Must be willing and able to start work in Summer 2025 for a 3-4 month full-time internship/externship.
- Previous internship experience at a consultancy or on an in-house design team.
- Entering into senior year of a Bachelor's Degree program, Master's student, or recent graduate.
