We are seeking a QA Engineer with expertise in testing cloud-based platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and executing test strategies for data pipelines, cloud applications, and microservices. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and data engineers to ensure high-quality and reliable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for cloud-based applications and data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and automation testing on cloud-based applications.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for validating APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based applications using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, JUnit, PyTest, or Cypress.
- Validate ETL jobs, data transformations, and data integrity across BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and other Google Cloud Platform services.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build) to integrate automated tests into the development lifecycle.
- Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to implement test automation in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Troubleshoot defects and work closely with engineers to identify, replicate, and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in security, performance, and scalability testing in cloud environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong experience in cloud-based testing, specifically on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on experience in test automation frameworks (Any of them ..Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
- Experience in testing data pipelines and ETL workflows using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
- Strong understanding of API testing (REST, GraphQL) using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized testing approaches.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to deta.
