The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work closely with the Engineering team supporting the manufacturing floor while gaining “real world” experience in a manufacturing setting.

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work closely with the Engineering team supporting the manufacturing floor while gaining “real world” experience in a manufacturing setting.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and support of engineering projects, including using software like SolidWorks and 3D CAD tools..
- Assist engineering team with production related issues
- Assist in projects that improve OEE on the manufacturing floor
- Conduct research and provide suggestions for improvement on projects. Assist in the preparation and presentation of mechanical design reviews.
- Assist in quoting Express seals
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; prioritizing and completing tasks at own initiative
- Problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork skills with peers and mentors
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous internships or project experience in mechanical engineering is desirable
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs pounds at times.
- Periods of bending, walking and standing on the manufacturing floor.
