Qualifications
- Dynamic, goal-oriented leader with a focus on innovation and building a high-performing, cohesive team.
- Experience managing multiple departments and supervising both full- and part-time staff; preferred experience in Membership, Aquatics, and Wellness.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, health sciences, community development, sports management, or business required.
- 3-5 years of YMCA program management experience or similar experience in direct staff supervision.
- Proven expertise in program development, financial management, facility operations, and staff/volunteer development.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to service excellence and hospitality.
- Develops, implements, and manages operational plans to drive program and membership growth for the YMCA.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises full-time and part-time staff, as well as volunteers, within assigned areas.
- Provides comprehensive training and professional development opportunities to support staff growth.
- Assists Program Directors and Coordinators in developing and managing branch budgets, ensuring financial goals are achieved.
- Leads staff efforts in fundraising and solicits financial support for the annual Reach Out campaign.
- Engages with volunteer committees and community boards as assigned, fostering strong community relationships.
- Implements member engagement and retention strategies to enhance program participation, enrollment, and volunteer involvement.
- Ensures the delivery of high-quality, member-focused programs through innovation, evaluation, and ongoing staff training.
- Maintains compliance with state and local regulations, ensuring program standards and safety procedures are met.
