Description
- Conduct job site inspections to assess safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Evaluate and approve planning and permits related to Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and other safety protocols
- Inspect Fire Protection systems, ensuring they align with NFPA 101, UFC-3-600-01, and UFC-3-601-02
- Provide recommendations and strategies to improve overall site safety
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures
- Maintain thorough documentation of safety incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with various teams and departments to foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Manage safety training programs and provide guidance on environmental health and safety best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Protection, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience
- Experience conducting job site inspections and investigating incidents
- Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations
- Experience evaluating planning/permits related to safety, including Hot Work, Confined Space, and Fall Protection.
- Ability to handle complex safety issues and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- At least 1 year of experience in designing or inspecting Fire Protection systems in compliance with NFPA 101 and UFC-3-600-01 or UFC-3-601-02
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
