QA Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
- Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in a Scrum environment, ensuring alignment with story acceptance criteria.
- Automate test cases for User-Interface (UI) and database testing using tools like Selenium/Tosca.
- Execute both manual and automated tests, including Functional, Integration, and Regression testing, and record test results.
- Debug code, report errors and failures, and collaborate with the development team for defect triaging.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Detect, track, and provide timely solutions for software defects and inconsistencies.
- Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle and ensure adherence to project standards and processes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in automation testing.
- Expertise in using automation tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database testing.
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries and working with Unix commands.
