The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing HR functional leadership and support to the CoolSys Commercial & Industrial division. Working closely with Operations leadership, and HR centers of excellence, determines key people and organizational needs and creates, resources and implements plans to address identified needs. Working in concert with various stakeholders, is responsible for organizational assessment, diagnosis and design. Supports work process improvement initiatives and developing and sustaining a continuous improvement culture. Ensures strong service delivery for talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, compensation, training, internal communications, and ensures a positive employee relations climate. Works closely with Operations management to ensure growth of CoolSys’s workforce capacity.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direct HR functional leadership for the CoolSys Commercial & Industrial division
- Serve as coach for CoolSys CARES culture (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safety)
- Responsible for providing HR support and services to client groups including Staffing/Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits Administration, OD/Change Management, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Safety
- Conducts organizational assessments to identify organizational, cultural, leadership and other issues, develops and implements programs and initiatives to address
- Coordinates employee and leadership programs and initiatives for client organizations including succession planning
- Coaches and counsels' leadership on variety of people and organizational related matters
- Supports, advances and leads Operational Excellence and continuous process improvement initiatives
- May participate in or directly support various Operational Excellence initiatives
- Performs a wide variety of HR activities and other duties as assigned
Education / Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 10+ of progressively increasing operations experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience supervising others
- Recruiting experience as a hiring manager for 10+ direct report searches
- Has managed a budget of $1M or greater
- Experience operating in union environments
- Organizational assessment, design, development, and change management
- Compensation administration including management incentive plans, sales commission plans, performance management, annual focal review processes, and long-term incentive plans.
- Employee relations and engagement experience of salaried and hourly workforces
- Training delivery and program administration
- Employee and Leader coaching, development planning, and administration of succession planning
- Demonstrated strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Benefit program service delivery and support.
- Workplace safety and workers compensation program support
- Driver’s license and good driving record
- 25-33% overnight travel
- Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
