Cerner Consultant - CCL
We are seeking a skilled Cerner EHR Consultantthat has a broad understanding of the Cerner EHR architecture to help us integrated our products and services into Cerner. As a Cerner EHR Consultant, you will play a vital role in helping us build clinical decision support rules within our customers' Cerner EHR environment. Your deep understanding of Cerner's integration capabilities, data models, and custom development will be essential in achieving the project goal of optimizing and enhancing clinical workflows through rule-based automation.
Responsibilities: -
- Work with Cerner architecture to develop and optimize integration between Cerner EHR and client s systems.
- Collaborate with the Client s team to understand requirements and goals for developing clinical decision support rules in Cerner EHR.
- Design and implement Discern Rules to enhance clinical decision support, automate workflows, and improve system efficiency by triggering logic-based alerts when providers add problems or diagnoses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of custom solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for Cerner EHR-related development challenges.
- Participate in project planning, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.

Educational Qualifications: -
- Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
Requirement:
- Experience with unstructured text data.
- Broad understanding of the Cerner EHR architecture.
- Proven experience as a Cerner EHR Consultant or similar role, with a focus on CCL scripting and Discern Rules development.
- Strong understanding of Cerner integration capabilities, including HL7, FHIR, and custom data extraction methodologies.
- Expertise in Cerner workflows, including clinical and administrative processes, to support custom rule development and workflow optimization.
- Experience with Cerner s data model and ability to extract and analyze data for reporting and decision support.
- Hands-on experience in developing custom Discern Rules to automate workflows and enhance clinical decision-making, specifically for triggering logic-based alerts when providers add problems or diagnoses.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot Cerner EHR-related technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities
