Financial Controller

SunSystem Technology (SST) is a leading electrical Operations & Maintenance services provider, primarily focused on solar, ensuring optimal system performance for our clients. SST provides comprehensive system monitoring, analysis, service, repair, and upgrades for community, commercial, industrial, and residential systems.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Financial Controller at SunSystem Technology in Marlton, NJ, with flexibility for remote work. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing invoicing, cash controls, financial reporting, analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, and overseeing accounting functions to support the company's operations.
SST is in the process of rebuilding its finance department. Initially the parent entity will manage most of the finance and accounting matters, but these will likely be brought in-house within 6 months. This will be the first hire on the accounting team, with significant upward mobility, with a potential path to CFO, and the ability to build out a department.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience
- Familiarity with IT implementations a plus
- Experience with corporate carve-outs a plus
- Experience working with offshore resources a plus
- Experience building an accounting team/department a plus
- Industry knowledge of field / residential / commercial / industrial services a plus
- Experience managing invoicing and AR / AP
- Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills (FP&A)
- Analytical Skills
- Finance and Accounting knowledge
- Experience in financial analysis and budgeting
- Experience in cash flow forecasting
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
