Construction Project Manager
Hays is working with a phenomenal growing civil general contractor. Over the last 6 years they have gone from 60 employees to almost 250 employees and look to keep growing. There projects are predominantly with the MTA, SCA, NYCT, and NYCHA expanding more into the Design-Build space. Below are the responsibilities and qualifications for the role.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to the closeout of the projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Develop project plans, including project scope, schedule, and budget
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and city regulations.
• Communicate with subcontractors, clients, vendors, government agencies, and consultants to ensure work is done smoothly and correctly.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and material purchase orders.
• Ensure project closeout activities are completed, including final inspections, punch lists, and project turnover
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 10 plus years of experience in project management in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite
