Job Title: Head of Research and Development (R&D)

Position Overview: As the Head of R&D, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire research and development process, from concept to product launch. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists, formulators, and researchers to develop new and innovative supplements that meet the highest quality and efficacy standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead R&D Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and market demands.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of scientists and R&D professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end process of supplement development, including concept creation, formulation, testing, regulatory compliance, and product launch.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements to ensure our products are market-leading and scientifically sound.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, regulatory, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure alignment across all departments for successful product development and launch.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure that all products meet safety, efficacy, and quality standards, including compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry certifications.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage the R&D budget, resources, and timelines to ensure the efficient and effective execution of projects.
  • External Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, contract research organizations (CROs), ingredient suppliers, and other partners to support innovation and product development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field; Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D within the supplements, nutraceuticals, or consumer health industry
  • Strong understanding of the supplement development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, etc.) and quality assurance processes for dietary supplements.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching new products and driving innovation in a competitive market.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to non-scientific stakeholders.
  • Passion for health and wellness, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, effective products.
