Reporting directly to Vice President NA, the Business Development Manager will work closely with North America Sales and Marketing team to win new Walmart general merchandise RFID inlay business. Interface effectively with external and internal organizations to lead sales and company revenue objectives.

JOB DUTIES

The scope of the role is to identify, develop and secure regional RFID inlay business with Walmart general merchandise for North America.

Drive NA Sales team to win RFID inlay business.

Support Europe and China business development managers to be sure all processes are consistent with North America.

Identify new suppliers and provide to sales team.

Coordinate pricing for all inlays with North America and China.

Provide support to CCL team making sure they are trained and assist in sales process.

Establish, develop, and maintain excellent relationships with Walmart.

Establish and maintain relationships with Walmart general merchandise buying groups.

Meet revenue targets established for Walmart General Merchandise RFID inlay program.

Contribute to development of marketing strategy and materials.

Contribute to the annual business planning and budget process.

Oversee sales forecasting and sales budgeting.

Attend trade exhibitions, events, trials and demonstrations and other ad hoc activities involving general merchandise suppliers.

Keep abreast of our competitor s activities, products, services, pricing etc.

Identify and evaluate market trends and competitive information that may impact regional/global sales and profitability for Checkpoint. Contribute to thought leadership and share information with regional/global sales representatives.

Maintain factory social audit status working with local operations teams.

Interact with Auburn University ARC Lab in their role supporting Walmart s RFID requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

At least five years of experience of working in a technical sales development role, with excellent customer relation management and influencing skills.

RFID experience and expertise

Sound business analysis skills, experience of managing budgets.

Result focused, evidence of consistent achievement of meeting sales targets.

Experience of working in, and being sensitive to, different cultures.

Experience of providing input to strategic decision makers.

Excellent team working skills, getting along with your colleagues is essential.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize in a multi-task environment.

Ability to work proactively on own initiative and actively solve problems when required.

Commitment to, and empathy with, the aims and objectives of the organization.

Flexibility willingness to travel, throughout the Americas and Europe and to the regions to be flexible regarding hours to suit different time zones.

As part of any business improvement programs, the Business Development Manager may be asked to be a member of various cross-departmental project teams to meet specific objectives.

EDUCATION

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience
