Warehouse/Assembly Operations Manager
Position Summary:This position is responsible for management of the warehouse as well as the assembly ofproduct to ensure product shipment and supplies are processed in a safe and timely manner toSatellite standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Strategically manage departments in compliance with company’s policies and vision• Plan, coordinate, and manage warehouse, shipping and receiving functions, andassembly to ensure all company objectives and production goals are continually met.• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures• Ensure assembly of product is completed to Satellite standards.• Supervise staff in designation of work assignments, providing instruction and directionfor fulfillment of tasks, reviewing completed work, providing input for performanceappraisals and disciplinary actions, as well as other supervisory requirements.• Provide continuing oversight and training of staff to increase productivity, knowledge,skills, and abilities.• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system• Oversee all incoming and outgoing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, andcondition of shipments.• Monitor and review all reporting and resolve any discrepancies in inventory reporting orsimilar issues.• Review and/or complete shipping documentation including notices, orders, and otherrelated documentation as necessary adhering to all warehousing, handling, shipping,and hazmat legislation requirements.• Ensure staff adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures. Modify and improvesafety practices as needed.• Review overall operations and processes and identify areas for improvement for allfunctions.• Offer recommendations to upper management for improvement and implementnecessary changes with sustained success.• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position manages all employees, temps, and contractors working within the shipping andreceiving department and assembly department.
Education and Experience Requirements:• Minimum of 5 years’ of management experience leading a high-volume manufacturingwarehouse or distribution center.• Experience and understanding of hazmat regulations and shipment preferred• Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S desirable• Bachelor’s degree preferable but not required.

Must be able to perform physicaland mental tasks associated within a manufacturing environment.
