Our client, a well-known and highly reputable real estate investment firm with a $15B+ portfolio, is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee the consolidations processes for all entities under the firm's umbrella. This position offers a hybrid schedule (1-2 days per week from home) and the opportunity to build out a new department.

Responsibilities:

Lead consolidations processes for multiple entities

Oversee financial statement preparation at the corporate level in accordance with GAAP

Manage the quarter-end and year-end close processes

Provide schedules and support for quarterly financial statement reporting package

Work closely with outside CPAs and tax professionals

Partner with C-Suite to provide GAAP guidance and support for business transactions

Conduct research on technical GAAP accounting issues

Monitor corporate cash balances and perform cash flow projections

Assist in building the corporate budget and provide quarterly variance analyses

Collaborate with various other departments throughout the organization

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field

CPA strongly preferred

Minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in the real estate and/or construction industry

Knowledge of Yardi, MRI or related software
