Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Manager located in Memphis, TN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement process improvements with the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

measurement system analysis

• Define projects regarding customer requirements utilizing tools such as Process Failure

Modes, Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and process flow

• Map control plan documentation and capability analysis

• Ensure CoQ (Costs of Quality) metrics are aligned with the company’s strategic initiatives,

including scrap, rework, returns, appraisal, and prevention

• Establish programs to improve metrics using continuous improvement tools as well as

actively participate in projects that support lean operations

• Utilize and coach lean tools including 5S, Kaizen, quick changeover, value stream mapping,

mistake proofing, etc.

• Interact with the production floor by assisting where needed to ensure there is adequate

support from the quality department to meet production efficiencies and goals

• Review, measure and proactively study KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to prevent

substandard product that does not meet expectations

• Supervise and manage daily activities of all quality team members at their designated

location

• Manage HFI (Hold for Inspection) System related to measuring, quantifying, and

communicating HFIs to the production floor and any other team members who need to be

informed

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.A. degree or 5-7 years’ experience in related field

• Proven leadership in program and project management, from conception to completion

• Possess knowledge of relevant quality measurement and validation activities

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and all reporting

software

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

• Ability to successfully interface with internal and external customers for operational and

customer focused solutions

• Able to sit, walk and move around for long hours at a time

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required, including weekends

• As required, travel between facilities
