Los Angeles Apparel is a nearly fully vertically integrated garment manufacturing facility located in the heart of South Central Los Angeles. We are seeking strongly motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn Tech Pack Writer to join our dynamic Apparel team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive tech packs that serve as essential communication tools between our design, production, and manufacturing teams. This role requires a strong understanding of garment construction and sewing, garment and pattern measurements, materials, and industry standards.

A day in the life....

  • Develop detailed tech packs for each style, including technical sketches, specifications, materials, colors, trims, and construction details that align with brand standards and product requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in all tech packs, reviewing them for completeness and compliance with manufacturing guidelines.
  • Revise tech packs based on feedback from production and quality assurance teams, ensuring they reflect the latest design changes.
  • Closely communicate with our Trim department to ensure the correct descriptions of materials needed per styles.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in tech pack development

Experience that's a plus

  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, PLM, Photoshop, CAD)
  • Strong understanding of garment specs and fabrics knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • An experience creating tech packs in the apparel industry

This is an on-site position that has a starting rate of $17.28/hour with medical and dental benefits, 401k, and overtime opportunities. Cover letter is not required.
