Director/Senior Director/VP of Business Development
This position will be responsible for creating business partnerships and driving new revenue sources for the organization. Successful candidates will conduct market research, proactively reach out to and grow their industry network and identify partnership opportunities. Successful candidates will also be expected to have a thorough understanding of Viva’s service offerings, promote the Viva brand, establish long-term relationships with key stakeholders, engage in business trips and attend business development meetings, industry conferences, trade shows etc.

Responsibilities:
Contribute the annual business expansion plan based on the overall business strategic objectives.
Work to expand services with existing clients, continuously develop new customersand help potential customers understand the company's core strength and unique capabilities.
Identify, develop and execute business opportunities in the pharmaceutical, biotech industries with an initial focus on the American bio-hubs.
Collaborate with business development colleagues to derive and execute synergistic business development roadmaps for engaging with new and existing clients.
Identify viable short and long term business opportunities and develop plans to convert opportunities into new business, with growing revenues.
Develop and retain scientific relationships with leading pharmaceutical/biotech industry partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or postgraduate degree in one of following or related fields: biochemistry, medicinal/synthetic chemistry, molecular and cell biology, pharmacology, and etc.
5 plus years of working experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferably with 2 plus years of business development experience in CRO sector with proven track record of success with biotech or pharmaceutical clients. Sound knowledge and deep understanding of drug discovery and development is essential.
Exceptional technical, negotiation and selling skills in pharmaceutical/biotech industries. Deep understanding in drug discovery and development.
An extensive and established, growing network of personal, scientific and business contacts.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills and excellent public speaking skills.
