Job Description
The Finance Director is a vital member of our leadership team, responsible for the overall operations and results of our Finance & Accounting team. In collaboration with the Controller and CFO, this role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and providing insightful analysis to drive operational growth. This role will lead the financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. Essential to this position is the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with experience in presenting financial data to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role within a mid-sized organization.

- Financial Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to the executive team.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Manage cash flow and mitigate financial risks.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and analyses.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Conduct profitability analysis by division.
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Collaborate with the Controller to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and systems.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Provide leadership and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance effectiveness of functions.
- Collaborates with necessary departments in order to drive process improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in leadership.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Detailed understanding of best practices and general accounting processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
