The office of the Executive Vice President (EVP) is looking to fill a key role in its business management team. This role will help support the team’s business operations and global Real Estate strategy.

As a Business Manager in the C+AI Executive office, you will play a critical role in leading the overall strategy and day-to-day Real Estate space portfolio for our Global teams.

Working closely with the Operations lead, you will create and implement operational processes and practices that drive efficiencies for the C+AI organization. This role is an extension of the leadership team, and you will be a key factor in our success.

Responsibilities

Business Group Real Estate Strategy & Prioritization : As the Business Manager for C+AI, you’ll lead the end-to-end implementation of worldwide Real Estate & Space planning, validate and drive accuracy of workspace data in partnership with the Global Workplace Services (GWS) teams’ standard operations protocol and designated team space leads.

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to ensure alignment with Microsoft’s goals.
  • Resolve escalations by leading with data and treating teams equally.
  • Prioritize each business group’s goals & objectives.
  • Lead the C+AI space planning community to create clarity and standardized processes across leadership teams.

Productivity: Assist in the development and creation of business processes, analytics, and tools to continuously improve organizational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain training materials, driving knowledge consistency across the division.
  • Maintain space allocation maps, Teams sites, and SharePoint.
  • New Space needs & requests, including lab and specialty spaces and managing Sits-With relationship changes.

Creating scale and community: Develop solutions to enhance organizational efficiency and communication; lead efforts to build sustainable forums to share information across C+AI organizations and the broader Microsoft engineering corps.

  • Partner with Global Workplace Services (GWS) and C+AI Space planners/team leads to execute space management processes and ensure adherence to both GWS and Organization specific space utilization principles.
  • Communication at organization level for dissemination of new guidance, changes or updates.
  • Support team space leads by acting as initial point of contact for workspace questions, concerns and conflicts, collaborating with lead planners and partners when appropriate.
  • Coordinate and direct, in partnership with Space leads, large migration/group moves, ensuring a successful move experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles.
    • OR equivalent experience.
    • 4+ years of experience in business management, global project, or operations management.
    • 4+ years experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and analytics tools (Power Platform apps, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Comfortable dealing with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and engaging in cross-group collaboration.
    • Efficient, strategic problem solver who is comfortable working independently, thinking holistically about key issues, and helping influence positive outcomes.
    • Able to synthesize large amounts of information into crisp recommendations and present and defend recommendations to a variety of audiences.
    • Presentation skills with a focus on tangible, measurable results.
    • Successful experience working in a team environment, building effective working relationships inside and outside of the group, accommodating work styles and perspectives of diverse individuals in all levels of the organization with integrity and consistency.

    Business Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
