RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Python Spark Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* The Python Spark Engineer will work with an agile team leading the development of extensible and scalable services supporting the product owner's product roadmap
* Ensure existing engineering practices are followed and helping set new ones when needed
* Design and develop data pipelines with scala/spark for data transformation and aggregation

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
* 7+ years of hands on software developer passionate about engineering excellence, highly focused, innovative, self-starter, collaborator, and someone who's eager to learn to help others
* Proficient in Java API development
* Experience with Scala and Spark in high volume batch environments
* Experience in a micro-service architecture solutioning for scalability, availability, intelligent monitoring, performance, and how to design proactively to avoid them
* Skilled in all aspects of software development lifecycle including API design, development, testing, deployment and support
* Ability to work with others, helping prioritize the work based on strategic nature, importance, and impact
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
