Business Development Manager
Summary of Position:
OYO is a high growth, disruptive and technology-led business that is transforming the era of the hospitality industry. The Business Development Manager (“BDM”) is OYO’s central sales position, which has as the primary duty the making sales and obtaining orders for OYO’s proprietary suite of services. This work is performed customarily and regularly in the field, including at hotel properties.
Job Location- California, Georgia (US)
Essential Functions:
· Prospecting and qualifying leads through cold calling, e-mail, and face to face meetings
· Meet Owner and manager in the properties, solicit sales and obtain orders for OYO’s proprietary suite of services
· Drive new revenue by analyzing key market trends and real estate developments in the BDM’s assigned territory, identifying new hotel and hospitality leads through research and relationships, and updating internal software to add quality supply to the pipeline
· Negotiate deals to close consistent with OYO guidelines, and in a manner that leverages internal resources to create a mutually-profitable business relationship
· Develop territory plans, establish rapport and form long-term relationships with property owners and other key stakeholders from initial lead generation through sale, transformation, and “go-live” date of property
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the hospitality industry
· Ability to work, cold call, prospect, negotiate, and close deals as an individual contributor
· Demonstrated success with structuring and negotiating complex deals, and solving business problems.
· Business-savvy with a sales-oriented mindset that will help establish OYO as a key technology-driven hotel network in an ethical manner
· Successful track record as a self-starter; internally motivated, organized, and disciplined
· Bachelor’s, Associate, or other post-high school degree, or comparable work experience, preferred
· Intermediate to Expert proficiency with CRM systems, G Suite and Microsoft Office products including: Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, and other SaaS business tools
· Knowledge of local hospitality associations and pre-established relationships with hotel owners is preferred
· Preferred Languages are Hindi (Spoken), Gujrati (Spoken) apart from fluency in English
