Our client is seeking a Corporate and Technology Public Relations Senior Manager to lead programs (proactive and reactive) that tell the company’s story and implement processes for rolling them out globally. Partnering closely with many teams across the company, this role plays a crucial part in shaping how the brand is presented.

The Corporate and Technology Public Relations Senior Manager helps devise and execute communications initiatives, develops corporate affairs initiatives, manages crisis communications, and monitors and analyzes developments in the news. The role advances the function through innovative thinking and a strategic approach. This team member understands the EdTech ecosystem and media landscape, including artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive an integrated corporate public relations, technology public relations, and public affairs strategy externally.
  • Communicate with top global media and other thought leaders, devising specific communications materials and campaigns to support the organization’s communications.
  • Develop and implement plans to address potential crises, managing public perception during challenging situations.
  • Lead, execute, source, draft, and edit a variety of written content, including narratives, presentations, email updates, articles, and other materials on behalf of executives, working collaboratively with stakeholders, collating inputs, and creating deliverables.
  • Leverage expertise to determine the most appropriate and meaningful format for a story and target audience.
  • Experience with communications technology and newsroom launches.
  • Manage team operations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both externally and within the organization.
  • 10+ years Public affairs experience, including crafting messaging and stakeholder engagement plans to support advocacy efforts and engagement.
  • Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress toward the plan, identifying roadblocks, and developing appropriate solutions.
  • 10+ years working within broad press and social media relationships with tier-one broadcast and business press internationally, along with deep skills in building relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to report results and share deliverables with company leaders, key stakeholders, and communications partners/agencies.
  • 10 years of experience, including 5 years of agency experience, 5 years of crisis experience, and strong external media relationships.
  • Experience working in the SaaS sector.
  • BA or BS—or equivalent degree.
