Position: Financial Virtual Analyst
Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 8am to 4pm EST

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

An initial preview of the responsibilities & tasks is as follows (there will be more, but this will give you a general sense of the roles & responsibilities):

  • Prepare financial analysis in support of the firms due diligence on private equity investment opportunities
  • Create quarterly and annual forecasts
  • Model and summarize current and projected performance for senior management on a weekly basis
  • Work collaboratively with Deal Teams, Accounting, Investor Relations, Corporate, and Legal
  • Accurately summarize and present results to Senior Management. Providing support to more experienced team members
  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Create PowerPoint presentations summarizing financial results and investment analysis
  • Perform detailed diligence of potential target investments via industry research, competitive analysis, etc. on a variety of topics
  • Strong business sense and quantitative skills, including the ability to build detailed financial models and a strong understanding of how the three financial statements tie together

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience as a Virtual Financial Analyst, demonstrating proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
  • Preferred with M&A / Finance background but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, financial analysis techniques, accounting principles, and financial modeling concepts.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint presentation and financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, VBA), advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and generate meaningful insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial models and forecasts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality in handling financial information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as finance, accounting, operations, and executive management, to gather data, exchange information, and align financial goals.
  • A high ranking in a previous job (we will reference your previous ranking/performance with your previous employer)
  • No more than 3 previous jobs since 2018.
  • Fast internet connection (ideally 100 MBPS or faster).
  • Willingness to put us in touch with at least 2 previous employers.
