Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of EPC to lead and oversee the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities for our growing portfolio of solar energy projects. As a key member of the executive team, the VP of EPC will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of utility-scale solar projects from design through commissioning, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the EPC strategy to support the company’s growth goals and ensure alignment with project development timelines and budgets.
  • Provide leadership and direction to internal teams and external contractors, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of all EPC activities, including engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance and quality expectations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and implement corrective actions as needed.

Team Development:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing EPC team, including engineering, procurement, and construction professionals.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms and ensure compliance with company standards.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution, including technical, financial, and regulatory risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and industry best practices.

Cost Management and Optimization:

  • Drive cost optimization initiatives by evaluating new technologies, streamlining processes, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and control project budgets to achieve cost-saving objectives without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in EPC management, with a focus on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
