Cloud Architect
OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our federal agency team and oversee the delivery of AWS and Azure capabilities to a large number of decentralized programs. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud architecture, federal IT management, and multi-cloud environments to deliver systems and networks to support our client.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing cloud services within the federal government sector, with experience in both AWS GovCloud and Azure Government. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possess the leadership skills necessary to drive innovation and collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the implementation of cloud services across AWS GovCloud and Azure Government platforms
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into cloud solutions
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture roadmaps and standards to support federal agency missions
- Coordinate the efforts of multiple organizations and contracts
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal IT regulations, FedRAMP requirements, and security standards
- Provide technical guidance on cloud best practices to program teams
- Evaluate cloud investment proposals and present recommendations to senior leadership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep expertise in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government offerings
- Knowledge of virtualization, containerization and networking
- Strong understanding of federal IT management principles and FedRAMP
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex cloud concepts to non-technical audiences
- 10+ years of experience in cloud services management, with a focus on federal government IT systems
- Experience with cloud security, governance, and risk management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Self-directed
- Able to interpret ambiguous situations
- Able to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- FedRAMP certification or experience with FedRAMP authorization process
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
