Accounting Clerk
Job Overview:
Team Clean is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. This individual will act as the primary liaison between our outside accounting firm and our internal finance department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, ensuring smooth collaboration between both parties and supporting the overall financial operations of Team Clean.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison Duties:
- Act as the main point of contact between Team Clean's finance department and the external accounting firm.
- Communicate accounting needs, concerns, and updates between both teams in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the external firm has the necessary documentation and data required for accurate and timely financial reporting.
Accounting Support:
- Assist with the preparation and organization of financial records and reports.
- Provide administrative support for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Review and reconcile financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Document Management:
- Organize and maintain accounting files, records, and documents in an orderly manner.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance documentation as requested by the accounting firm.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure all necessary financial data is captured and reported accurately.
- Collaborate with internal finance staff and external accountants to resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
Process Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to accounting and finance processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on accounting software and tools to support streamlined financial operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) as an Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant, or similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software and basic financial principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with external accounting firms.
- Knowledge of accounting best practices and financial regulations.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
