Job Title: Graduate Assistant – International StudentsDepartment: Student LifeReports To: Associate Dean of Student LifeJob Type: This is a part time, exempt position.General Description:The Student Life Graduate Assistant is responsible for assisting with the following tasks:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs and activities for welcoming and integrating international students into the campus community· Gauge interest to assess the want/need to develop an international student organization/association· Develop and implement social, cultural, recreational and informational programs for William Woods University international student population· Serve as the liaison between Student Life and international students· Update and assist with social media marketing and publications for programs and events· Other duties as assigned The desired candidate will relate closely to the international community, and possess a deep passion for planning, developing, and implementing programming specific to this population. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be knowledgeable about William Woods University by having a thorough understanding of all University programs and mission
  • Assist with marketing, emails, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, faculty, staff, and prospective students
  • Develop strong and positive relationships with other campus offices, faculty, and staff
  • Represent William Woods University in a professional manner
  • Must be able to work 20 hours a week with some evening and weekend hours required for special events
  • Other duties as assignedPosition Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • Experience in customer service and/or office management
  • Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with people in a positive manner
  • Must perform as a team player
  • Must be positive, outgoing, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and self-disciplined
  • Must be organized, flexible and creative; maintain attention to detail
  • Must be computer literate and social media savvyTypical Physical Demands:
