PDI Health, an established fast growing mobile diagnostic and imaging company, is looking for a proven leader to take charge of our dispatch department (3 teams, ~35 people) and elevate it to the next level. This isn’t just about managing day-to-day operations: it’s about transforming a critical department, instilling accountability, and ensuring every dispatch decision drives efficiency and results. Our dispatch team is the beating heart of our patient care. The team is accountable for ensuring that our technologists are efficiently and logically assigned cases to maximize our ability to serve our patients.

We need someone who has done this before. A leader who has stepped into an underperforming dispatch team, built structure, and turned things around. If you know how to balance strategy with hands-on leadership, and you thrive in an environment where ownership and accountability are the standard, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

You will be the point person leading and restructuring our dispatch operations to improve efficiency, service, and patient care. You’ll do this by creating a culture of accountability, ensuring performance expectations are clear and met, coaching and developing a team, identifying strengths and addressing gaps. Dispatch still operates on legacy systems, so you will be asked to provide recommendations on better or newer software. You will also be streamlining communication between dispatch, technologists in the field, and leadership. Finally, implementing best practices, logistics strategies, and operational improvements will be important.

Who You Are:

You’re not just a manager; you’re a leader who knows how to get things done. You take ownership, you prioritize effectively, and you don’t shy away from tough decisions. You understand logistics and dispatch operations inside and out, and you know how to create processes that work. You have done this before: both revitalizing teams and having a large part in effectively rolling out new software. You have 3+ years experience as a dispatch manager.

At your core, you:

  • Lead with extreme ownership: problems don’t get passed around, they get solved
  • Have a sharp sense of prioritization: you focus on what moves the needle
  • Operate with grit and resilience: you know how to push through challenges and drive results
  • Are proactive and hands-on: you’re in the details when needed, but always with the big picture in mind
  • Hold your team accountablewhile also supporting their growth
  • Know how to streamline operationsand maximize efficiency through technology and process improvements

Our Core Values:

We don’t just talk about company values… we expect our leaders to embody them

  • Part of the Solution: We solve problems, not dwell on them
  • Team Player: We work together, without egos, to get the job done
  • Reputation Matters: We operate with integrity and take pride in our work
  • Ownership: If it’s your responsibility, you own it. End of story

Why PDI Health?

We’re a company that values strong leadership, decisive action, and a commitment to excellence. This role offers real impact, real responsibility, and real career growth for the right leader. If you’ve led a dispatch team, rebuilt processes, and created a culture of accountability before… we want to hear from you!

This role is on-site, and based out of our Brooklyn, NY office.
